AI for absence management and return to work

From conversation
to perspective.

For organisations that want to manage absence, prevention and return to work more effectively.

Casey connects case context, conversations and workplace information into signals, insights and focused actions for the individual case and for organisational patterns and risks.

Casey provides guidance. The authorised decision-maker validates and decides.

Does this sound familiar?

Many signals.
No shared view yet.

Information emerges at different moments and sits with different people. Relevant context stays fragmented, and the full picture often becomes visible too late.

Signals remain scattered

Conversations, case records and agreements do not always sit in one place.

Each role sees a different part

HR, managers, prevention professionals, occupational physicians and case managers view the same case from different perspectives.

Important context arrives late

Missing information may only surface once a next step is already being discussed.

01 · Operational intelligence

From individual cases to organisational insight.

Casey is designed to connect context, professional decisions, interventions and outcomes in a controllable way. This allows an organisation to examine which approaches contribute to progress in which contexts.

01

Make possibilities visible

Surface earlier which conditions and support authorised professionals consider relevant to return to work.

02

Improve intervention effectiveness

Connect context, intervention and progress to examine what is useful and where adjustment remains necessary.

03

Strengthen system impact

Recognise recurring barriers in processes, policy and the work context through controlled, aggregated insights.

Learn from every reviewed case without allowing Casey to decide about individual employees.

02 · Interactive product concept

From a conversation signal
to a focused follow-up question.

Follow one recognisable situation and see how Casey supports a controlled route from source to professional review.

Simulated product demonstration

Step 01: Signal

Simulated product demonstration

Said directly

Keep the source visible.

“I would like to return, but I am not sure I can manage the pace yet.”

Employee“I would like to return, but I am not sure I can manage the pace yet.”

Directly stated signal. No diagnosis or medical data.

The boundary remains visible. Casey does not diagnose, determine fitness for work or make employment decisions.

The authorised decision-maker validates the context and decides what may inform the next step.

03 · Pilot and validation

From pilot to impact.

Every pilot = one concrete use case + clear boundaries + KPIs.

This reveals what Casey improves, where its boundaries lie and what is ready to scale.

01

Intelligence

Casey builds on eight years of Montisoro expertise in absence management and return to work, translated into algorithmic and AI logic.

The central question is whether Casey assesses work potential and sustainable employability qualitatively, consistently and explainably.
02

Case impact

Within the individual case, we examine the difference in practice.

  • Are signals visible earlier?
  • Are next steps more focused?
  • Is work potential used more effectively?
03

Operational impact

The next level is day-to-day practice.

  • Does quality remain consistent across stakeholders and files?
  • Is there less dependence on individual expertise?
  • Is the approach scalable?
04

Organisational impact

Once enough cases are available, we analyse patterns across files.

This reveals where absence and return-to-work processes repeatedly stall, which interventions have an effect and which insights matter for policy, prevention and occupational health services.

Validation process

How we validate

  1. 01
    Define

The use case, stakeholders, boundaries and KPIs are agreed in advance.

  2. 02
    Test

Real or representative cases form the basis.

  3. 03
    Compare

We compare the results with the existing approach and the judgement of the stakeholders involved.

  4. 04
    Decide

The outcome shows what works, what needs adjustment and what is ready to scale.

We contribute

Casey, Montisoro Intelligence, methodology and guidance.

Together we determine

What Casey demonstrably improves at case, operational and organisational level.

The pilot is not an open-ended test environment. We use it to establish where Casey demonstrably creates value and what is ready to scale.

04 · Governance & trust

The case at the centre.
Clear boundaries from the outset.

For every pilot, we define the purpose, access, responsibilities and data use in advance.

Casey supports. The authorised actor reviews, corrects and decides.

01

Purpose & roles

The purpose of using Casey and the roles involved in the case are defined in advance.

02

Access

Each role sees only information relevant to its responsibilities and the agreed purpose.

03

Retention

Retention and deletion moments are agreed in advance and limited to what is necessary.

04

Human in the loop

Casey provides guidance. Authorised decision-makers can review, correct, supplement or reject.

Bounded and controllable.

The authorised decision-maker validates the Casey output and determines what may be used.

Purpose-boundOnly information relevant to the purpose of the case is used.
Bounded contextPersonal context is not used beyond what is necessary for the agreed support.
CorrectableInformation can be corrected, supplemented or challenged.
Human oversightNo Casey output independently leads to a decision or next step that requires human assessment.
Who sees what, and who decides?

Exact access and responsibilities are agreed for each pilot.

Case managerReviews role-relevant information and determines appropriate follow-up within their remit.
ManagerSees only agreed work-related actions and adjustments.
HRSafeguards the process and agreements without taking over medical assessment.
Occupational physicianAssesses, within their mandate, what is medically and occupationally relevant to work and return to work.
CaseyConnects context and intelligence, supports possible next steps and makes the rationale visible. Casey makes no final decision.
Privacy and security are part of the design.
Privacy by designOnly data necessary for the agreed use case are processed.
Role-based accessAccess follows role, purpose and responsibilities defined in advance.
Controllable data flowData flow, logging, hosting, retention periods and involved parties are bounded in advance.
Traceable intelligenceSources, rationale and human corrections remain traceable where professional review requires this.
Human in the loopNo Casey output independently leads to a decision or next step that requires human assessment.

Clarity first

Questions you are right
to ask in advance.

Does Casey already exist?

Casey is in development. This website shows the intended concept. We are looking for pilot partners to test usefulness, information quality and meaningful human oversight.

Who decides?

Casey does not diagnose, determine fitness for work or make employment decisions. The authorised decision-maker validates the information within their role and determines the appropriate next step.

Are conversations recorded or stored?

The demonstration is simulated. Conversation processing can only form part of a pilot after purpose, legal basis, access, security, retention and deletion have been agreed and participants have been properly informed.

What happens during an introduction?

In 30 minutes, we explore your business use case, the stakeholders involved and the conditions for a possible pilot. We do not ask for employee data or review individual files.

05 · The next step

A better perspective
starts with a
good conversation.
